Description
The study titled "Determinants of Treatment Seeking Delay Among Malaria Patients in Health Centres of Meta Wolkite District, Central Ethiopia, 2024" investigated the delay in seeking timely treatment among confirmed malaria cases. The dependent variable was treatment seeking delay, and the independent variables included socio-demographic characteristics, previous malaria experience, use of traditional medicine, self-medication practices, health education exposure, and perceived healthcare cost. A facility-based case–control study was conducted from February 1 to March 30, 2024, among 322 confirmed malaria patients (161 delayed and 161 timely treatment seekers) selected using a consecutive sampling method across three health centers. Data were collected via structured interviews, entered into EpiData 4.4.2, and analyzed using SPSS version 23. Multivariable logistic regression was applied to identify determinants after preliminary bivariable analysis.
